Today is Alex's 1st birthday. We have missed a year of firsts and now are missing his first birthday. It is not fair and it is not right. However, I am comforted knowing that he is taken care of by a wonderful foster mother and father. I am also comforted knowing that no matter what, our Father in Heaven sees ALL of his firsts, seconds, and everything beyond. I know that God will continue to take care of him.
