We received our fingerprinting date. We will be heading into Milwaukee on Wednesday, April 20 for an 11am fingerprinting time. It is a little inconvenient time since I have daycare kids. Wednesdays are the busiest day for me with the little kids swimming in the morning, midday drop off and pickup at school, etc. I had to come up with a reason for taking the day off, something that RARELY happens. With getting Ian's citizenship paperwork done, I figured that was as good of a reason as any for having to go to Homeland Security in Milwaukee. Once we are fingerprinted, we wait for a referral. We are assuming we will receive a referral in Fall and end up traveling in Winter. I figure this is God's humor. We started this process last October knowing the process would be about a year. We tried to plan it so that we would be able to travel in late summer or fall for our child. Obviously other things happened with agency, etc and our home study wasn't submitted to Korea until March. We are told 6-9 months for referral and 3-4 months for travel. We are planning on a 10-14 day stay while we are there, which is easier when there is warmer weather and no snow. Regardless, we know God knows our child and knows the plan He has for our life and for our family, so we leave it in His hands.
